As a wife, mom and business women I have multiple task in life on a daily basis. I have four children a husband, and a large extended family. Life can be pretty stressful on MOST days. My husband experiences high stress as well because of the multi tasking required of him each day. Soon both of us recognized the consequences of NOT MANAGING our stress on a daily basis. Headache’s, chronic fatigue, high cholesterol and of course stroke and hard attack are all related to stress.

Most of us are aware that our lifestyle contributes to the stress we experience however we are NOT aware of the various ways we contribute to our stress by missing meals, not getting enough rest, or simply not taking vitamins on a daily basis. Stress management is key to a healthy life and so is taking vitamins. Nutrient deficiencies are to blame for many ailments and diseases that we experience even poor decision making can be directly linked to nutrient deficiency. People that are consi ... Read More »

I was one of the moms that questioned everything I did when it came to making sure my children were healthy. I thought that it was okay to give them medicines several times a week in fact the doctors prescribed it most of the time. I backed it up with what I thought was best from over the counter.

Many drugs over the counter are truly over rated. We have seen it on the news lately about cough medicines having virtually no impact on the common cold right down to the commonly used pain medications not being recommended at all for infants anymore. Why do they say that it’s for infants on the box anyway? I am not sure about you but I don’t know who to trust.

Many children today receive unnecessary prescriptions for both over the counter medicines to the antibiotics that KILL the immune system by the time they are just 5 years old. A recent study indicated that children on antibiotics more the six times by age three often have no immune builders ... Read More »

I recently read an article that talked about new products being introduced to the market that are suppose to be natural and chemical free. As I read through the information I was quickly able to check some of the ingredients on the products that were named. What I found were basically replacement chemicals, same effect and impact with a different name.

Just because you see natural, or organic or even vitamin enriched doesn’t mean that the products doesn’t contain the harmful chemicals and preservatives that many of us have been exposed to for years. Some of the products as mentioned in the article are too new to say what the benefits really are when using them for long or short periods of time.

After all how many YEARS have we been told that the best thing to use to disinfect and get rid of germs is chlorine bleach. It’s been on the market since WWII and has been added to almost every cleaning substance found in today’s h ... Read More »

Today’s women find themselves in a flux when it comes to raising children and continuing careers that they have worked so hard have. I too worked in Corporate America for more the 20 years. I have four children and longed everyday to be with them.

I was very fortunate to be able to come home about five years ago when I started my own business but I soon found myself working even harder from home as a mediator and arbitrator to keep my business going. I still didn’t have much quality time for my family. I was glad to have my own business but it wasn’t what I wanted in terms of time commitments.

We all love our children and often want more flexible opportunities to spend time to nurture and enjoy raising them. Attending everything they have going on at school, having lunch with them and if we have children with challenges we want to help them through the day.

Over the last two years I have found what I believe to ... Read More »

Are you aware that most chemical cleaners and disinfectants are dangerous inhalants? The dangers of sniffing chemical inhalants are all too clear, but the dangers of accidental inhalation of household cleaners are often ignored. Our children are regularly the helpless victims of our own fastidious housework. When we try to keep our environment clean we may be inadvertently poisoning them! This article brings that fact to our attention. When teachers and janitors use sprays and cleaning products around schools they too could be adding to this problem. In one Massachusetts school, a teacher ignored a mother who asked her to stop cleaning a desk in front of her daughter, whose asthma was triggered by the cleaner. The teacher actually tried to defend her actions with a misguided attempt to explain that it was only a disinfectant! Teachers need to be educated too!

Our children are much more vulnerable to chemicals than we adults are. Their nervous and endocrine systems are under development and are much more likely to be disrupted by these harmful chemical messengers. Very young children are especially vulnerable because they crawl around the floor and when they put their hands into their mouths they transfer the toxic chemicals right into their systems. And remember, before they are born, they have already been exposed to the toxic chemicals their mothers have been exposed to!

In the very places where our children should be safe and protected, such as schools and nurseries, there is usually very little effort to find non toxic products for cleaning or building materials. This report should shock every school attendant into action to cut the risk of poisoning our children while they are in their care.
