Taking the time each week to do household chores is a natural part of any moms or housewife’s busy schedule. Most of us do something to clean on daily basis, weather it be washing clothes or dishes we try to do what’s needed to keep our homes clean. In the process we hope to keep our family healthy while riding it germs and bacteria that will make us sick. However did you know that the very products we use daily to keep our homes clean are the primary culprits for making us SICK?

Facts:
• Since World War II, we have developed more than 80,000 chemicals for use in the cleaners, pesticides, plastics, personal care products, industrial products and other modern day conveniences. We know very little about the effect of these chemicals on a child’s development.
• The EPA reported to congress that our indoor air contains the nation’s worst pollution, with the typical American home having chemical contamination levels 70 times higher than levels found in the air outside.
• The Consumer Products Safety Commission has identified 150 chemicals in the home that have been directly linked to allergies, birth defects, caner and psychological abnormalities. The Consumer Safety Commission concluded that cleaning products are some of the most dangerous substances in the home.

The epidemics that we face today are only an indicator of how seriously impacted we are by the chemicals used in our homes. I have witnessed changes in my family that have made it obvious to me that the amount of chemicals and toxins in the things we use everyday were the BIGGEST problem for my family. We have to take matters into our own hands when it comes to the decisions we make about everyday consumables that we expose our family’s to and use. Our home environment is one environment that we can control by making better choices.

With 48 Million Americans not having health insurance and the average middle class family spending more than 10% of their monthly income to provide insurance for their family, we have to take healthcare more seriously. We have to live healthy everyday just to be able to afford to LIVE. For additional information please visit my website http://www.healthy-us.com or email me at Angelique@healthy-us.com .
