“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
Mark Twain
Did you know?
The risk of premature death decreases 20% to 60% when a person receives routine screenings for cholesterol levels, mammography, Pap smears, prostate exams and a flu shot.
Your family history does matter, but lifestyle choices matter most. To some extent, your relatives are as responsible for passing down your “healthy destiny” as they are for passing down the antique clock in the corner. But you play more of a role then you think.
About 80% of how long and how ell you live is up to you- determined by your lifestyle choices and behaviors. Source: American Journal of Public Health
I am a believer that when it comes to the CHOICES you determine the good the bad and the ugly! We all have choices. My husband had diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol issues from both parents. He too was headed down that road of endless medications and a poor quality of life because of frequent illness. When we decided that we wanted a change we knew that it had to make a difference for the entire family and for generations to come. Healthy choices are available everyday. Living a healthy life doesn’t have to be complicated and rigorous! It can be fun, freeing and feel good for the whole family tree.
