A Return to Basics

It's difficult to say, but most of us needed the economy to slow down in order to get back to basics. The basics of family, fun at home and food around the table with everyone who lives in the house! It's been several months since I last blogged. I have enjoyed the time off and away from the computer to care for my TWO babies I have a one year old and a nine month old. I have five children and I love them all in different ways for various reasons and they are all extremely special to me. But with the older three children children I was often too busy to appreciate motherhood. I was busy in my career and didn't really pay attention to how fast they were growing up. Like most of America I was cought up in the life of consumption. Life was moving so fast and I was consumed with making money and living my planned agenda.

Well with the last two babies over the past two years I decided that I would stick to working from home and only focus on my children while enjoying every second with them. It was truly one of the best decisions in my life! If you have dreams or desires to spend more time with your children now is great time to make it happen. With so much change on the horizon now is the time to reinvent your self. Consider the economic down turn your opportunity and decide to do something positve about it.

An income to rely on!

Every working American works to earn income. We all expect to get paid for the work we do each day. Most of us are truly committed to our jobs and feel that it is a vital part of our life and support for our family.

However more and more people are looking for ways to increase income, improve family time and enjoy more of life. Recently one of my friends reminded me of the career and work I use to do and how on the GO I was all the time. Neither of us could believe the dramatic difference in me then and now.

I am a stay at home working mom. I had NEVER considered leaving my corporate job or closing my mediation practice until I ran into a friend that showed me a different lifestyle. One that I deserved but thought I had to work YEARS to provide and have. I must say that I was wrong. I accused her of trying to get me to quit my job and live on dimes. I even said that she was in a phony stay at on business that couldn’t possibly net her that type of lifestyle. I was wrong. I have never wanted to be a part of a home based business or an MLM multi level company. If fact most of them we scams and illegal and I couldn’t risk my career.

When I began to observe and compare this company to those out there i.e make-up, vitamins and so on I knew something was different about the integrity and business model of this company. First of all every one in it receive some benefit and or pay. Secondly there was no requirement of inventory and investments that didn’t make since to me. Thirdly, my entire family was benefiting. SOON I was sharing the concept and getting paid every single month.

It may NOT be for everyone, after all its not rocket science and it’s not sexy nor is it appealing to live healthy to all people. But if you have ANY questions in your mind if you should try this company and business you are probably RIGHT! Call me today to let me show you how I did it and completely replaced my income in two years. While being at home for my family and enjoying more of life.

Things so tight even lunch and dinner stress you out?

As a stay at home mom I often think about plans for the week around lunch and dinner for the family. It’s just the roll that I decided to take on as a mom. I admit often I wish it were my husband’s job to think about those things on top of all the other things he does to provide for our family.

I would have never thought that keeping food around the house and on the table was such a big deal because we have always been big on eating out if I didn’t feel up to cooking or making meals. Well over the past few months after having a baby just a year ago and another on the way, I soon realized that we needed to cut back. I needed to start planning ahead and making meals to stay in more with the kids and save money.

I just didn’t think that grocery and gas would completely stress me out when it came to lunch and dinner because I would normally stop in the store and grab a quick meal if I didn’t want to deal with FROZEN meat at home or if I forgot to plan a meal. But it is obvious to me now how things trickle down and one thing impacts the other. Because of the prices in the store and at the pump we have had to watch what we buy and how often we eat out.

With that realization more than ever I know that my home based business is the TICKET. I can make what ever amount of money I decide I need each month I am NOT limited by my hours or the wage or salary. That to me is a solution that makes since. So often we as moms are stressed about things that are small to most people in the world but to a mom it is an added monthly cycle! We can loose it over the smallest of details around the house because we feel obligated and responsible and every body is depending on us.

If you are a mom who’s tired of being in the STRESS mode and you need extra income, or you are fed up with being stressed out over small details such as making lunch, dinner or even going to the store. Let me help you simplify your life today!

I can show you how!

What if I told you that fat in your diet could help you with your depression?

Omega-3: This Little Fat May Be Your Key
To A Long & Happy Life
Now that you know you can trust Dr. Blaylock to advocate for the whole unvarnished truth, let's return to health issues that are critically important to you— like protecting yourself and your loved ones from diseases like cancer, heart disease, depression, Alzheimer's and many others.

This popular issue of The Blaylock Wellness Report tells you everything you need to know about "Omega-3: Nature's Miracle Panacea."

Here's just a taste of what you're about to learn in this exciting report:

Why those born before 1945 are 100 times less likely to suffer from major depression (and what those born after 1945 can do to pre-empt this devastating disorder)...
Two oils that simply must be in your kitchen...if you want to stay healthy...
How certain dietary fats can affect your brain chemistry (once you understand why, you can take your health to the next level!)
How bipolar disorder has been linked to low levels of specific dietary fats...and can be treated by simple nutritional correction...
What two classes of easy-to-find nutrients can significantly lower your risk of these three big threats: depression, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's...
Brain shrinkage: what simple measures can you take to protect against it right now?
What obstetricians nearly always fail to tell pregnant women...that could lead unnecessarily to premature births, post-partum depression and problems with baby brain development...
Which "bad fats" have been shockingly promoted by the American Heart Association, despite their propensity to increase inflammation and make heart attacks and strokes more likely...
What is "resolvin E1" (and how can it help cut down the inflammation associated with heart disease you may or may not already have)...
Information vital to those with rheumatoid arthritis...that can help them decrease joint pain and stiffness while cutting down or eliminating those hazardous anti-inflammatory drugs...
Which key fats may actually affect gene function, shutting off harmful ones and activating helpful ones?
3 easy steps you can take to balance your good fat/bad fat ratio...
(it's really simple, once you get it)
The healthy supplemental oil your kids will actually take without a fight...

My husband’s cholesterol was 276 LDL when I became a part of this company. He and his father were taking the leading stat drugs recommended to millions of people. Many of those same drugs have been in the news recently having NO impact on lowering the cholesterol. I was blown away when my husband returned to the doctor only after three months of taking our natural supplement packs that include omega3’s and was told he was doing GREAT. The doctor assumed he was still on the prescription meds but he was not. It only proves that there are natural ways to heal the body, mind and spirit without medications!

Make it simple contact us to get started on your new healthy omega3 diet and live happy!

I want to do something that makes sense for my entire family!

I was recently on the phone with a dear friend that kept saying she could not wait on the stimulus package check to get some things she really wanted. She was due $1500 or so from the government in May. She is a well educated and successful mom that recently came home with a baby. I thought it was odd for her to say that because she is always into something that brings in some cash flow or so I thought.

When I delved deeper about what she had been doing for money and how some of those things were going she said, “Oh there okay, but you know those things don’t make money for you if you aren’t out and working them and buying the inventory to sell.” I immediately reminded her that all work from home doesn’t require that. I mentioned that I have had a steady income for the past two years, every single month. I too have had a baby in the last year and will have another in May. My checks have continued to come under ALL circumstances!

When it comes to working from home it should simply MAKE CENTS! I have contributed to my family’s income in some way since my husband and I were married simply because I could and I wanted to be able to do things that I want to do. So many women are caught up in the sexy business that sounds pretty and fun (ie make up, cooking, travel ect.) I have been with a company that has produced not only benefits in income but also in terms of day to day health and well being of my entire family. NO make up, or travel business has really benefited a whole family in that way as far as I am concerned. I don’t have to inventory things that can’t be used by the WHOLE family nor do I have to buy things and resale them or even get people to buy things they don’t need with money they don’t have!

A stay at home job is more than just making money it has to make sense for the family. Moms are already so busy with duties and other small details that they shouldn’t have to worry about next months inventory or other sales to keep an income coming.

Try something that will change your situation today and in the future without all the hassle! Call me if you want to make a difference next month in you income.

Could My Child Benefit From Allergy Shots?

An allergy occurs when the body's immune system has an exaggerated reaction to a usually harmless substance. The most common causes of allergies are dust mites, molds, pollen, pets with fur or feathers, stinging insects, and some kinds of foods. The body reacts to the substance by releasing chemicals, one of which is called histamine. The results of this reaction may include runny nose, congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, and ear itching or popping. Asthma may occur in some children.

The best way to prevent or control your child's allergy symptoms is to help him or her avoid the allergen, the substance that triggers the allergy. An allergist is a doctor trained to identify which substances are causing your child's allergy, and he or she can treat and help you prevent your child's allergy symptoms.

One way an allergist can determine the causes of your child's allergies is by testing your child's reaction to specific allergens by skin or blood tests. Based on the test results, your child's doctor may recommend treatments including medications as well as a plan for avoiding exposure to allergens. If control of your child's environment and treatment with basic allergy medications are not successful, allergy shots may be recommended as the next step.

Updated and reviewed by: William J. Geimeier, MD
Date reviewed: May 2007

My daughter Ania took allergy shots for 2 years off and on we were taking her to the clinic twice a week. The thing I noticed most is that she had dryer sinuses. She would often have a dry cough as well. It is TRUE that many of the allergies we face today are chemical related. These chemicals are triggered by everyday household cleaners and products. The most noted thing for me out of the above article is to change and or control the environment in your home. Treating allergies everyday is a must and using natural ingredients that enhance personal and environmental wellness really helps.

We stopped using chemicals and replaced personal care items with natural ingredients and our allergies were under control. My husband no longer takes the decongestants that impact his heart, he was taking them daily. My kids no longer take over the counter meds and visit the doctor three to four times a year. Is this just coincidence? I don't think so. OUR results are real and are proven more each year that we DON'T take allergy shots and meds.

Household Cleaners Made Easy

Cleaning your house with low-toxic cleansers you make yourself is an excellent way to start your green home-maintenance program. Not only are these cleansers healthy and effective, they smell good, cost less than commercial products, don't pollute indoor air, and only take a minute to make.
Begin by sorting out the area where you keep your cleaning products. Box up all commercial cleansers - ammonia, oven cleaners, furniture polish, disinfectant, toilet cleaner. Tighten the lids and store the cleansers in the garage until your community's next hazardous-waste collection day. Now you're ready to replace those synthetic chemicals with natural products you make yourself using ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen:
The most common ingredients are:
• Borax
• Distilled white vinegar
• Baking soda
• Salt
• Washing soda
• Cooking oil
• Lemons
by Linda Mason Hunter
I couldn’t agree more when it comes to the difference it makes when you remove all the commercial cleaners from your home! I did and the sanitation truck wouldn’t even touch the stuff we put out for them like dishwashing liquid and even glass cleaner, they said that it was hazardous waste! You can make the transition easy and smooth with products you won’t have to mix yourself but are just as or more effective than those you get rid of. Just give it a try we can make it easy.
You don’t have to take up the carpet and repaint the walls to do Spring Cleaning: Allergens in the Home

For the more than 40 million people throughout the country who suffer from indoor allergies, spring cleaning can be an important step to take in order to reduce allergy symptoms, according to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI). Spring cleaning takes some time and effort, but it will produce an indoor environment that is less allergenic, easier to clean and healthier for the whole family.

Symptoms of indoor allergies

Indoor allergy sufferers will often wheeze, sneeze, cough and hack their way through the winter months, thinking they have a chronic cold. In actuality, they are probably reacting to indoor allergens. Some symptoms between a cold and allergies are similar, such as sneezing and a stuffy or runny nose. But, if your symptoms are also accompanied with a fever, sore throat, colored nasal discharge, and aches and pains, then you probably have a cold. With allergies, there is never a fever, the nasal discharge is clear, and eyes may become red and itchy. Furthermore, while a cold usually lasts about a week, allergies can last all year.

The biggest culprits to investigate when it comes to indoor air quality and allergens is right under the kitchen and bathroom sink. When we were using over the counter medicines daily to relieve cold and allergy symptoms I thought the only thing we could do was LIVE IN A BUBBLE to make everyone feel better. My children seemed to be sick all the time. Little did I know how much I contributed to those illnesses on a regular basis by trying to keep the house clean.

• The average home can be 50 to 70 times more toxic than the air out side
• Everyday cleaners have HIGH levels of chemical and toxic exposure even when they are NOT being used
• Learning and behavioral concerns are linked to everyday house hold cleaners and toxins
• Finally allergies and sinus problems can be directly associated with cleaning products and chemicals used in the home from laundry detergents to counter cleaner and even disinfectant.

Stop your family’s allergy problems in your home where most of them begin. Use products that are healthier and safer but really work!
Start with your kitchen and bathroom products and if you see a reduction in the use of over counter medicines like we did go further.
My kids and husband are doing SO much better since we changed to GREEN products. Let us make a few recommendations to you today!

Everday household toxic products affect children in a negative way

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Michelle Hammond and Jeremiah Holland were intrigued when a friend at the Oakland Tribune asked them and their two young children to take part in a cutting-edge study to measure the industrial chemicals in their bodies.
"In the beginning, I wasn't worried at all; I was fascinated," Hammond, 37, recalled.
But that fascination soon changed to fear, as tests revealed that their children -- Rowan, then 18 months, and Mikaela, then 5 -- had chemical exposure levels up to seven times those of their parents.
"[Rowan's] been on this planet for 18 months, and he's loaded with a chemical I've never heard of," Holland, 37, said. "He had two to three times the level of flame retardants in his body that's been known to cause thyroid dysfunction in lab rats."
The technology to test for these flame retardants -- known as polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) -- and other industrial chemicals is less than 10 years old. Environmentalists call it "body burden" testing, an allusion to the chemical "burden," or legacy of toxins, running through our bloodstream. Scientists refer to this testing as "biomonitoring."
Most Americans haven't heard of body burden testing, but it's a hot topic among environmentalists and public health experts who warn that the industrial chemicals we come into contact with every day are accumulating in our bodies and endangering our health in ways we have yet to understand.

by Joan Miller, CNN

Why worry about chemicals that you don't have to expose your self or your family to? Limit the amount of chemical exposure in your home by replacing them with safer healthier products that just make sense.
10 Everyday Pollution Solutions

1Use cast iron pans instead of nonstick. Read about Teflon health concerns.

2 To avoid chemicals leaching into food, go easy on processed, canned or fast foods and never microwave plastic. Read about Bisphenol A, a toxic food-can lining ingredient associated with birth defects.

3 Buy organic, or eat vegetables and fruit from the "Cleanest 12" list. Find out more about the "Dirty Dozen."

4 Use iodized salt to combat chemical interference from the thyroid. Read about rocket fuel's effect on the thyroid.

5 Seal outdoor wooden structures. Order a test kit to find out if your wooden deck, picnic table, or playset is leaching arsenic.

6 Leave your shoes at the door. This cuts down on dust-bound pollutants in the home.

7 Avoid perfume, cologne and products with added fragrance. Search for personal care products that are fragrance-free, or check the products you're already using.

8 Buy products with natural fibers, like cotton and wool, that are naturally fire resistant. Use our list of products and manufacturers to avoid the chemical flame retardant PBDE.

9 Eat low-mercury fish like tilapia & pollock, rather than high-mercury choices like tuna & swordfish. Check our Safe Fish List to see which fish to avoid and what's safe to eat.

10 Filter your water for drinking and cooking. How does your tap water stack up? Search our tap water database to see what you're drinking.
